Beginning on Juliet's

So now time to begin our Minnie Mouse colored afghan.... We decided to make these little flowers:
It actually only takes about three minutes to make one... So that is good... I will be sewing the all on to a big piece or red fleece. The recipient is a die-hard Minnie fan and loves the color red.... I am making the flowers red, yellow, white and black to fit into the Minnie theme.... We shall see how it turns out... Will post more later!

Rhonda is complete!!!

I really love the way the ruffled border came out! Absolutely Awesome! I hope she really enjoys it! Thank you to all that helped make this comfortghan possible!

What I'm working on

As I sit here at work and ponder plans for the day... I have green yarn in my hand adding to some green squares to make Rhonda's afghan... I also stayed up till about 10:30 last night working on flowers for Juliet's afghan! Still need a lot more red ones, but I have a big dent in yellow to go with our Minnie Mouse theme!

Jennie

A big giant shout out to IANNA for completing this mission for us! Jennie hasn't been doing well so it looks like this one will come right at the perfect time for her! Ianna put a beautiful new border on this one. So happy to have this angel as my friend!

Got some 2 for $5 yarn at JoAnn's....

Out of commission

So I have been out of commission for a couple days... Only a cold, not to worry... I am back ready to work... So a couple weeks ago I stumbled across a pattern, and I had to try it! Still working but here is the beginning.... I thought for Xavier's package, I would include one of these and a copy of the movie. Its one of the Minions from Despicable Me the movie..
(this is the example by the creator)

Working on the circles....

I think they look better overlapped, so there is a preview of the blues... It took me about 30 minutes to sew six of them on, so this will take awhile... That is what I will be working out on at nights when I'm home... During the day I will just square on, and since I get to be driven everywhere I go by the hubby, I work in the car... Love it!!

Keep up the great work ladies! It means so much!

Circles... Mrs. Sharon (Mission #4)... Flowers

Yesterday was a great day!!!

Circles -
Ok so I laid out all the circles that we have...
Sorry Its blurry, had to hold the camera over my head and guess

Need more purples and reds...

also more greens... have tons of blues...
Mrs. Sharon -
Mission #4 is complete and received... here are some pictures... Windy, her daughter that requested it for her said that she was overwhelmed and teared up when she read all of her letters!! I'm so glad that she enjoyed receiving some love from us!!

Flowers - I finished quite a few yesterday... Here's what they looked like laid out... pretty cool looking... If you decide to donate some, please use an H hook, and worsted weight yarn, so that they all fit together just right... I should have measured them, will do that in a bit...

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Thank you all so much for helping with these wonderful projects!

Flower Afghan Again... This pattern is much easier...

These are very simple: well this is how I made it... There was no pattern listed...

*Chain 4. 17 DC's in original loop... ss to join...
*chain 1, SC *chain 3 , skip 3 DC, SC* all the way around, join in original SC
*1SC, 1 HDC, 3DC, 1 HDC, 1SC in each loop around, SS to join, finish off

Extremely easy and quick, another way to use up scraps...

Look at this example of what they did with them using wool... I might want to make one of these... The link is: https://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/2009/05/19/field-of-crocheted-flowers/
Took me about ten minutes to make 4 of them:
